Lactaction Cookies to Boost Milk Supply

Boost your milk supply with these cookies, jam packed with oatmeal, ground flax and brewer's yeast.
  • 1 cup brown rice flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1¾ cup gluten free rolled oats
  • ½ cup cane sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup peanut butter
  • ¾ cup grapeseed oil
  • ⅓ cup water
  • 3 teaspoons powdered egg replacer + 4 tablespoons water (see notes)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ground flaxseed
  • 3 tablespoons brewer's yeast
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup blanched sliced almonds
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl sift together brown rice flour, cornstarch, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  3. In a large bowl whisk together cane sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, grapeseed oil, water, prepared egg replacer and vanilla extract.
  4. Stir in brewer's yeast and ground flaxseed to the wet mixture. Combine well.
  5. Add sifted dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Stir well to combine.
  6. Add oats in batches, stirring after each addition to incorporate well. Fold in chocolate chips and sliced almonds.
  7. Roll into 1½" balls and place on the baking sheet. Flatten with the base of your palm.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 12-14 minutes. Let cool on cookie sheet before removing to an air-tight container.
  9. Freezes well.
Egg replacer to equal 2 eggs. Use powdered egg replacer, flax egg, chia egg.
